Based at an expedition style camp in the heart of the forest, this will be a
very practical day with a maximum group size of 10. You will be encouraged to have a go at a range of activities aimed to help us enjoy connecting with the wild. Around the campfire there will be time to share stories of the day’s adventures, toast marshmallows and have a laugh!
We will set up tarp bivouacs, learn to carve and saw wood safely, prepare wild food and find natural resources. Lunch, and tea / coffee will be provided. Hot water for drinks will be supplied via the camp kettle throughout the day. We will prepare and cook our lunch over the campfire.
I love seeing the unity and connection which naturally occurs as we work together outdoors. For me, it’s hard to quantify the profound restorative value of time in the woods.
Using a blade, toting logs, or successfully producing a meal without modern conveniences, just feels good!
